This love journey is gripping and you can empathize with both the hero and heroine, latch onto their struggles to grasp their passion (boy were there moments of passion.), while they hold on to each other with the support of those around them. I feel anyone can relate to this story because our insecurities can hold such an emotional charge in us all. This story pulls on your heart strings because Megan has experienced a raw sense of grim, so many cope with however we never read much about in romance. The author takes an amazing risk giving us a character and story that hits close to home for so many. Charming, infuriating and charismatic to boot, Drew would have you screaming to just shut up because his asinine one liners make you want to smack him while Megan runs.

Completely honest and open he pushes to crumble Megan's defenses and pushes for their chance. Although she is attached engaged actually, Meg still harbors a deep emotional pull to Drew and tries to grab onto her 'normal' and push him away.ĭetermined to 'break the cycle' Drew realizes he has given up way to easily AGAIN and this time he is in an unwavering pursuit. However, as always in hindsight we have 20/20 and Drew works to make a mends and never make the same mistake twice.

Previously, I was heartbroken for Meg, and my heart ached for the choice Drew made. Combine merciless propositions with heart wrecking love games and you have Dead Man's Bluff. In the Sequel to Poker Face we are reunited two years later with Megan and Drew.
